Safety Policy Statement
Introduction
The Directors of Tara Holdings Ltd are committed to the health, safety and welfare of its employees and are driving forward standards in the heavy plant business.
Our Health and Safety Policy comprises three parts:
Commitment to Safety
Tara Holdings is committed to a policy to carry out its activities in such a way as to facilitate the health and safety of its employees and everyone associated or affected by its work. Our ultimate aim is to eliminate accidents and to minimise ill health. We aim to provide a workplace that contributes to the physical and mental well being that will benefit the employee and the business.
General Responsibilities
The execution of this policy is the responsibility of the Directors who recognise that they have legal obligations under the Health and Safety of Work Act 1974. They will coordinate the participation of all employees through active cooperation:
- Each employee needs to understand the policy as it applies to him or her and to put it into practice. This will enable them not only to contribute to the business constructively and enjoyably but also safely.
Meeting this Commitment
- Identifying and assessing hazards associated with its work and activities, and introducing measures to eliminate or reduce the risks arising from them.
- Adopting safe and healthy working practices and safe systems of work.
- Making available appropriate instruction and, where necessary, training in the tasks to be undertaken.
- Providing supervision and first aid cover at work.
- Reporting any incidents as required and analysing information on them with a view to modifying methods of work if necessary.
The Directors will review this policy statement annually. Any updates to the Statement or procedures will be communicated to all employees.
